This picture is what my Dad gave to my Mom for Christmas. This statue is of my moms great grandparents on their 80th anniversary when they were 98 years old. This statue is life size down in Fairview at a museum. It was made because at the time they were the couple to have been married the longest!! My Dad also had me find the original Time Magazine that had an article about them at the time of their anniversary. My dad is amazing! He put a lot of thought into this gift and pulled off a Great surprise for my mom! (He also surprised us girls and got one for all of us! He is the Best!) Nice job Dad!!

If you were trying to get a hold of my mom or dad last night, you probably couldn't. They are so cute and decided to have a date night! They spent LOTS & LOTS of money on their date! Inspiration for their date started about 2 weeks ago when they were going to the gym early one morning. A cop decided to pull them over and gave my dad a ticket. The next morning, my mom was on her way to work, and the same cop, same place, & same speed, decided to pull my mom over and give her a ticket. A few days later, in the same spot, my mom got another ticket! String of bad luck don't ya think! Then about 5 days later, my dad got pulled over. My dad plead his case to the officer for about 10 minutes and he finally felt bad for my dad and let him off with a warning. So with 3 tickets and 1 warning, my mom and dad had a date night at traffic school! We're so proud of you mom and dad and we're glad you still take time to go on dates! :)

My mom and dad are bike-aholics. They go riding almost everyday, and I'm not talking just around the block. They go on rides I could never even think of going on. They ride to my house about once a week... and that alone is 4 cities away! They are crazy! Ok... I'm just jealous. It's just sad when your parents are in better shape than you are! Way to go mom and dad! You guys are crazy!

I love this picture because of a quote straight from my dads mouth... "I only ride with her because we like looking at each others hot buns!" Don't be embarassed mom... it's cute that you guys still are hot for eachother!

My mom rode in a bike race that was 111 miles long all around Utah Lake... needless to say, it would kill any of her daughters, but she handled it like a champ! She wasn't even sore or anything! She is amazing! Us girls all talk about how we would die to have her legs and energy!

Meg and Jed had their little baby boy on April 21st. They named him Jake Dean Beck and he is as cute as ever! He is a healthy little guy who we can't get enough of! Here is the first picture of all the grandkids together! What a cute little bunch! (Brinnley, Dalton, Jake, Taelyn, Dacia)

My mom had a conference for work that was in Florida for several days. My dad went with her, and even though we know she worked hard... it looks like they definitely played hard too! She took a few vacation days so that she could go to the epcot center and have some fun with my dad!

No my dad is not 16 years old... but you would never know it. He thinks he is one of the kids! He went almost all the way to the top and went tubing down this huge hill. We love our dad... he's always up for some fun!

We went snowmobiling with our family and the Rasmussens. We stayed at the Rasmussens cabin and played all day and night. We had a ton of fun and loved the get away.

So my mom was tagged again... As I was filling this out, I realized I know nothing about my parents dating years! I guess I better get askin some questions!

1. Full name: Craig Lloyd Bennett
2. How long have you been married: Too long to count... I think like 28 years. All I know is they've set good examples for all of us!!
3. How long did we date: They started back in high school and got married when my mom was 20... I think. So like... 3 or 4 years.
4. Who said I love you first: I'm sure my dad did... My mom was one HOT babe who I'm sure played hard to get!
5. Who is taller: He is... If my mom is wearing her flats.
6. Who sings better: Actually, niether of them are too bad... Don't get me wrong... Not too good either. Lets just say, the ward choir is about as far as their talents take them!
7. Who's smarter: Depends on the subject. We would always go to my dad for History questions and my mom for English. They are both very knowledgeable about the gospel and everyday things.
8. Who does the laundry: My dad claims he does, but the farthest he goes is throwing them in the washer... I think if they ever get folded it's all my moms doing!
9. Who pays the bills: My dad doesn't even know what a bill is... It's all my mom!
10. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed: My dad does
11. Who drives: They try to make the other one do it every time... I think they both hate driving!
12. Who's more stubborn: I think probably my mom... we still love ya though!
13. Who kissed who first: Like I said... I'm sure my dad had to work for it!
14. Who asked who out first: My dads twin asked my mom out first!! I love that story! But eventually my dad saw a good thing and I'm sure he asked her out!
15. Who proposed: Hopefully he did!
16. Who has more siblings: Equal... My mom has 4 sisters and 1 brother and my dad has 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
17. Who wears the pants in the family: Definitely my mom! However... my dad has it pretty easy!

It was my moms birthday on Saturday and we partied hard!! Her only request was to go to the temple with everyone. So we went to the morning session, and one of her bestfriends showed up with her family and attended the session with us. It was a good way to start the day. Then we went back to my sisters and ate, played ping-pong, and relaxed. We ended the night by going to a movie. In other words... we partied from 9:30 a.m. - 9:30 p.m.
Happy Birthday mom!! WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH! We couldn't ask for a better mom!

Just so we're all aware... my parents have no clue how to blog! So, as a good daughter, I am doing it for them. My mom was tagged by her friend, and I am answering them from my perspective!

10 years ago... My mom was busy juggling work and 3 daughters and a husband. She had 2 girls who were in the akward age of junior high and trying to help them figure out boys, school, the world, etc. She had 1 daughter who just graduated and was begining college. That in itself was a handful! My dad was starting the fun of being in bishoprics and always busy with church callings and work.

5 Things on my to do list today... Go to work, Cycling class, probably something for church, call each of her kids, probably more work at home!

Snacks that I enjoy... Chocolate, Diet Coke, Chocolate, Diet Coke, Mexican food

What I would do if I were suddenly a billionaire... She would probably quit her job and then spoil her family like crazy! She'd give us each a few million and set up college funds for all her grandchildren!!... Just dreaming! My mom is good at helping her kids but also making them work for their money! She really would probably travel with my dad and hopefully take her whole family along on a few trips!

3 of my bad habits... My mom is perfect!

5 places I have lived... Provo, Norway, American Fork, Highland, and Highland again.

5 jobs that I have had... a mom, secretary for the Superintendent, and that's all I've ever known of my mom! But, she works REALLY hard!

5 things people don't know about me... 1) She is crazy busy trying to balance work, being my dads personal secretary for work and church, and being the greatest mom and grandma ever! 2) She used to eat pretzels and diet coke on a daily basis. 3) She is constantly doing some form of exercise... growing up it was so annoying to try and watch a movie with your mom doing jumping jacks right by you. She can't just sit still. 4) She can't handle any violence at all... she closes her eyes through a lot of movies. She had to sit with her back to the t.v. when we watched Cinderella Man. 5) She went on a date with my dads twin before going out with my dad! We are sure glad she clicked with my dad better!

Family Fun!! We sang our traditional Norwegian song around the Christmas tree... we all just end up laughing!

All the boys got matching P.J.'s... my dad has worn his Christmas nighty for years and gets made fun of from all the boys, so he decided to make them all their own nightys!

My mom and dad were really good this year and had their own garden. They grew a lot of vegetables, but my favorite thing they grew were their pumpkins... they were HUGE! We were all pretty impressed, and it made their house look really cute for the Fall time.

30th Anniversary!

We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary in Lake Powell with our family! We've made it 30 years and are still so in love! Our kids wanted to send us on a cruise, but because we're not all rich, they threw a celebration on the "Lake Powell Love Boat!" (Excuse the swimsuits and hair... we would've looked much better if it was a real cruise!)
